Toraya Cafe in Roppongi Hills is a very slick cafe where you can have a taste of traditional Japanese confectionaries while you enjoy a cup of delicious green tea.
Toraya is one of the oldest makers of traditional confectionery in Japan and they are amazing at combining Western ingredients with their popular sweet-bean paste (“Azuki”). I had this delicious Chocolate and Chestnut Fondant with Green Tea.
Azuki Beans are delicate beans grown in Japan using special methods. Azuki beans come in both red and white varieties. Usually they are cooked into paste called ‘An‘ and used in a wide range of different confections. You can get Toraya’s popular “An Paste” in the cafe.
SPUR & Toraya’s Collaboration
To commemorate fashion magazine “SPUR'” 25th Anniversary, Spur and Toraya have teamed together and are offering a special sweet treat.
Keep this spot in mind next time you’re craving something sweet.
I’d like to thank Toraya Cafe‘s staff who kindly let me shoot their beautiful Cafe… ありがとうございます!! How to get there? (Map courtesy Toraya Cafe)
