Annual event “Tokyo Midtown Design Touch 2014” is taking place until November 3rd. From interior design to graphics, products, music, and food, you can experience local and international latest designs. This year’s theme is “Turning your design switched on!”. Here is a selection of the Design Competition Award Winning Works. So many interesting projects!
The designs for food and food packaging were so cool. I love this one… A Japanese patterned Grill!
There are other design exhibitions inside the main building and in Midtown park as well. One of my favourite Japanese artists, Tokujin Yoshioka, has created a fantasy installation named “Sparkle Lounge”. This guy is simply amazing and I’ve been following his works for some time now. If you want to check him out, I’ve blogged about Yoshioka before HERE and HERE
Check out Tokyo Midtown’s website for workshops, lectures and a public library in the park. There’s also an interactive installation “The Forest of Chairs, Design x Science” in the main grass square (daily from 11:00 – 18:00 but keep it mind that it is cancelled in case of rain).
“INADA Stone Exhibition – Earth & Craft Park” sculptures made with Inada stones, one of the best granite stones in the world.
