Legendary French perfumer and maker of luxury scented candles , home fragrances and body care collection, Diptyque, opened a lovely flagship store in trendy Aoyama.
The entrance to the boutique looks like a Japanese garden with a stone path and full of greenery. Inside, the store naturally smells amazing, with shelves made with traditional Raku tiles and a “candle tower” at the centre of the store.
When the store opened, they sold candles named “Tokyo” with scents of plum and cherry blossoms and “Paris,” scenting of Lily of the Valley and linden flowers.
Diptyque x Mina Perhonen (ミナ ペルホネン が コラボレーション)
Last year, Diptyque and Mina Perhonen teamed up and introduced three new scents of fragrance candles: “CIEL” ice steam, iris and rose, “JOIE” wild flowers such as rose and “INFINI” wood, incense, flowers and spices. Each candle was decorated with ink drawings by Akira Minagawa, Mina Perhonen’s designer .
I’d like to thank Diptyque Aoyama’s staff who kindly let me shoot their beautiful boutique… ありがとうございます!!
