Walking along the Meguro River, you’ll find N1221, a very cool restaurant/café. This cool venue is spacious and has a very laid back atmosphere.
A wood counter occupies most of the room, and the live kitchen lets you have a peek while they prepare the dishes. The menu is written on the blackboard right on top of the counter.
Sadly, no English menu available so you should go either with a friend who speaks Japanese or just point at a random dish and good luck!
I ordered “avocado soba” and it was delicious. My lunch came with a bowl of grilled veggies and a hearty miso soup. Fall is here, and I’m already digging the soups!
The restaurant was built in what was previously a private house and it somehow has kept that nostalgic feeling. Plus they were playing ♪♪ “Gotan Project – Santa Maria (Del Buen Ayre)“, so that was meant to be my spot that day.
N1221 also has private rooms in the 2F and 3F and a lovely terrace at the entrance.
I’d like to thank N1221’s staff who kindly let me shoot their cool restaurant… ありがとうございます!!
