Tas Yard Café (タスヤードカ フェ/千駄ヶ谷)

Tas Yard located in a corner in the Sendagaya neighborhood, definitely has a very familiar laid-back, modern California spirit.  The place is spacious and cool and the service friendly as usual.

Part Café and part garden shop they also sell interior goods and provide consultancy and maintenance on plants and gardening.  I was there after lunch so I just had a glass of fresh orange juice but the food smell yummy!

Right besides the entrance you’ll find “Good Neighbors, Fine Food” a small shack-like structure that sells local vegetables, organic teas and dressings, chocolates, utensils, and other cute stuff.

I was there on a Sunday afternoon, so they were selling vegetables from the locals farmers.

One of the reasons why I enjoy writing about places like Tas Yard is that they are really cool and usually a bit off the beaten track. Even when Sendagaya is walking distance from Harajuku, you won’t see many tourists in this area, so in a way it keeps that local flavor. It’s a great area to check out.

I’d like to thank Tas Yard‘s staff that kindly let me shoot inside their beautiful cafe/restaurant… ありがとうございます!!
