“Mon Petit Monde”

In 2010, I was invited to take part in a collaboration art project with the trendy Tokyo fashion store “Soup of he(r)art” of H.P.FRANCE. The store was promoting a loose leaf tea and asked me to create an image for a promotional postcard.

For me, to have a cup of tea means to take a break, to create a quiet and peaceful mood so that you can briefly get away from the noise and the buzz. And it’s then where the warmth, the fragrances and the quietness of the tea allow me to relax and enjoy myself, creating my own intimate space, “mon petit monde.

To reinforce the idea of this little world, I shot close-ups of the tea ingredients, transforming them into abstract patterns. The viewer doesn’t know what these images are and is invited to contemplate them with naive wonder, constructing his own narratives and poetry and using his imagination to complete the stories. soup 02

The final image was a gel medium transfer patiently crafted in the intimacy of my house, in the quietness of my own little world ❤❤❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
